In 2014 Katie and Mark Hale established Spec Services after leaving the super yacht industry to settle in Canberra.
Part of their work on super yachts involved cleaning to a very high standard and leaving the yachts in immaculate condition for their high value customers. Attention to detail and speed was vital in creating exceptional first impressions and maintaining the yacht owner’s reputation.
Mark, the Captain of the 60.35-metre super yacht Blue Moon and Katie, the Chief Stewardess recognised that these standards of excellent customer service were directly transferrable to the cleaning industry and have since been on a journey of delivering exceptional cleaning services to commercial and construction clients in Australia.
